Currently, Western Australia Police request the submission of a new application for each trip you take to WA.
However, you can only submit applications one at a time. For example, if you have planned two trips to WA, you can only submit an application for your first trip.
After you have travelled and arrived in WA, you can submit a new application for your second trip to WA.
This is to ensure the information on which your application is considered is current and valid for the prevailing circumstances at that time.
Given the dynamic and regular change in COVID risk levels and hot spots around the state, it is currently deemed too high risk not to have current application information for each trip.
FIFO workers who have to return on a weekly or bi-weekly basis are assessed on that merit and IF approved, will have a Pass valid for 4 weeks. Once expired they have to reapply. It is likely that at some point, this process will be considered for expansion to other reasons for travel.
